LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT – PROJECT MANAGER

BFS is looking for a landscape architect/project manager for our Monterey or Mountain View offices with 8+ years of experience in a similar US-based small to medium sized landscape architecture office. The ideal design candidate will have a strong client-service focus and be able to manage landscape architectural projects of various sizes from concept through construction administration. The individual will demonstrate leadership qualities and initiative with the desire and proven ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams, with support staff and principals. This is a full-time, in-office position with local travel to project sites.

Requirements include a degree in landscape architecture from a U.S. institution, and a minimum of 8 years of continuous landscape architectural office experience in the U.S. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. A California license is preferred; candidates who are willing to take reciprocity licensure in California within a couple of months of arrival will be considered.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

We are looking for a motivated landscape designer for our Monterey and/or Mountain View offices, who has demonstrated initiative, is a creative thinker and enjoys problem solving. The preferred candidate has the desire and proven ability to work with a team. The primary role of this position would be to assist project managers in the preparation of conceptual graphics and develop design through production documentation.

Individuals must be ready to take design concepts into final design. You will be able to research materials necessary to complete details that achieve a design intent and share a desire to learn the process for a complete set of construction documents. A strong design interest, verbal and written skills, with the ability to develop high quality presentation materials is preferred. A passion for planting design and a working knowledge of California native plants is a plus. Familiarity with irrigation design is valued. Demonstrable software skills must include AutoCAD (2014 and newer), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Sketchup. Experience with Lumion and/or Revit is a plus.
