Roberto Antonio Balermino Park
The City of San Jose commissioned BFS to design a new neighborhood park on a 2-acre parcel named after a historical figure of the Ohlone Indian community. The park zones active recreation uses away from adjacent homes and a centrally located picnic area is flanked by play areas with a variety of stand-alone play structures. The core is visually integrated with the entire surface themed around Ohlone basket weaving patterns.
