BFS completed design development and construction documents for 26 acres of the 98-acre park. Design elements include soccer and softball fields; restroom, concession, and maintenance facilities; parking areas; trail; a prefabricated bridge; picnic and creative play areas.
New redwood tree groves, a simulated redwood “Old Growth” tree stump, native grasses, and riparian plantings are a modern interpretation of the former landscape of this coastal site, once a dairy ranch. Wetland and riparian habitat enhancement mitigation, integral to park development approval, make this community park in Soquel a good birding area, especially in winter.
