BFS partnered with MSP Architects to renovate both Azusa and Gladstone High Schools’ tracks and fields as separately bid projects. Their existing tracks were gravel and dated, while the natural grass football/soccer fields were well-used and worn out. With a vision for stadium-quality track and fields, BFS provided the design and layout for each school. Both were uniquely sized to fit their locations, with Azusa closer to a typical equal quadrant track, and Gladstone having a longer and more narrow track and field to fit its smaller footprint. Upgraded field events, including shot put, discus, pole vault, and long jump/triple jump were added and relocated as well. Included with the bid documents were irrigation renovations around the new track and field footprints.
