As synthetic fields age, play surfaces are replaced to provide improved performance and safety. BFS Landscape Architects prepared plans and specifications for the refurbishment of two synthetic turf fields at San Jose City College (SJCC) and Evergreen Valley College (EVC) campuses. At SJCC, the project included cleaning and re-striping the running track, and replacing a full-size football scoreboard, sponsor panels, goalposts and other track-related equipment. BFS initially assisted the district in evaluating the CMAS process as an alternate method of installing the two projects; however, ultimately, they were successfully competitively bid.
