BFS partnered with the architects to renovate both Azusa and Gladstone High Schools’ track and fields as separately bid projects. Their existing tracks were both gravel and the natural grass football/soccer fields were worn out and well used. With a vision of having stadium-quality track and fields, BFS provided the design and layout of synthetic turf and tracks for each school. Both were uniquely sized to fit their locations, with Azusa closer to a typical equal quadrant track and Gladstone having a longer, more narrow track and field to fit its smaller footprint. Upgraded field events included shot put, discus, pole vault, and long jump/triple jump. The bid documents also included irrigation renovations around the new track and field footprints.
