This project to convert UCLA’s football practice facility from an all-natural field to a combined synthetic and natural grass field complex allows the team to practice on both surfaces and prepare accordingly for their games. The synthetic grass field also allows for graphic display of the university name and mascot in both end zones. The portion of construction over a vehicle tunnel required special drainage considerations. In 2012, BFS Landscape Architects later assisted with field replacement to the new head coach’s specifications.
