The Stanford Management Company retained BFS Landscape Architects to assist them with design and specifications for a multi-purpose sports field project. Stanford University built Mayfield Park with the City of Palo Alto on Stanford University property.
Per City regulations, a storm drainage system could only release stormwater from the fields at pre-development rates. BFS collaborated with the project geotechnical engineer to establish soil and percolation capacity. The BFS team then expanded the subsurface drainage system to detain estimated stormwater runoff volumes.
