The UCLA Athletic Facilities Department retained BFS Landscape Architects to renovate their football practice facility from an all natural field to synthetic and natural grass fields. This allows the team to practice on both surfaces and prepare accordingly for their games. The synthetic grass field allows for graphic display of the University name and mascot in both end zones. Construction over a vehicle tunnel required special drainage considerations. In 2012, BFS also assisted with the field replacement to accommodate the new head coach.
